African Heritage UK was set up to continue the legacy of African Peoples Dance in the UK through education and training.
Raising the profile of African Peoples dance as an integral part of the UK’s cultural sector and creative industries and to develop an agency to promote and employ artists with skills in African & Caribbean dance and music.
We collectively work together with our members and in-house media team to help build a professional profile and portfolio.
TECHNIQUE TRAINING
Through masterclasses and frequent rehearsals, our members receive training in various African dance styles and pieces.

Collectively the African Heritage UK team have over 30 years experience in the African Dance industry enabling us to offer expert advice and guidance to our members throughout their career
Members of AHUK are entitled to 10 technique training sessions per year, administrative support for bookings (e.g. contracts and itineraries), and a profile on our website. Sessions will be delivered by CEO Judith Palmer MBE, or a member of AHUK/professionally commissioned artist. The aim of the technique training is to enhance your skills as practitioners of African and Caribbean cultural dance styles, as well as to set repertory for our ‘Pop-up’ performance group.
